On behalf of Minnesota FoodShare, thank you to Taste of the NFL for raising more than $24 million for food shelves and serving nearly 200 million meals nationwide. Wayne Kostrowski is a true #MNfoodfighter and we are thankful for the work his organization has done to feed those in need nationwide and to bring attention to the pervasive issue of hunger.
Thank you Children's Theatre Company for providing affordable ways for our Kinship kids and their mentors to attend your fantastic theatre productions! Saturday's showing of "The Wizard of Oz" sponsored by Best Buy was nothing short of brilliant and we will never forget the amazing experience. We're looking forward to the next play! Thank you!
We challenge you to a Different Kind of Food Fight! In March, schools, businesses, restaurants, congregations and stores will join the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign to support 300 food shelves statewide. Join the fight against hunger at gmcc.org/minnesotafoodshare.
Kinship's Kinshoppe 2016 was a big hit! Kinship kids got to shop for their siblings and parents and wrap the gifts themselves. This event was made possible by the Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA), St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, individual donors and many helpful volunteers who helped make the kids’ Christmas special. Kinship is a mentoring program serving kids ages 5-18 in the metro area. Over 200 kids are waiting for a mentor. Call 612-588-4655 (Hennepin County) or 763-862-6755 (Anoka County) to learn more
